Several Iowa State alumni are delivering high-impact performances in professional basketball leagues worldwide.
With Spainâs FC Barcelona Will Clyburn recorded 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes in an 80-72 win over KK Crvena zvezda on April 21. He is currently averaging 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
In China, Lindell Wigginton led the Guangzhou Loong Lions with a performance of 36 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in a win against Fujian Sturgeons on April 20. Wiggintonâs season averages of 23.2 points (ranking third in the league), 4.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists.
Meanwhile, Talen Horton-Tucker contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks in 20 minutes to a Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul victory in an 82-78 victory over Manisa on Sunday. His game averages include 13.1 points and 3.4 assists.
Two former Cyclones are playing for prominent Istanbul-based clubs. Matt Thomas is showcasing his perimeter shooting for Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul, averaging 8.8 points and 2.7 rebounds while connecting on 47.7% of his three-point attempts.
