The Providence Bruins open their Calder Cup Playoffs campaign today. They host the Springfield Thunderbirds (STL) tonight at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, RI.

NHL.com: The Minnesota Wild are off to Round 2. With a 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars, the Wild move on in six games. Game 6 was tied 2-2 in the third period before Quinn Hughes broke the tie, and Milford, MA native Matt Boldy iced the game with two empty netters.

It is Minnesota’s first series win since 2015.

Colorado Hockey Now: Another second-round matchup is set. The Colorado Avalanche have been waiting for the winner of the Wild-Stars series; now, they get the Wild in Round 2. Aarif Deen has more on the matchup.

NHL.com: The Anaheim Ducks beat the Oilers 5-2 last night and confirmed that there will be a new Western Conference Champion. The Ducks knocked off the Oilers in six games, and Connor McDavid was held to just one goal in the series – he finished at a point per game.

It is the Ducks’ first series win since 2017.
