Justin Rose once again fell heartbreakingly short of winning The Masters.
He held the lead going into the back nine during his final round, but the perennial bridesmaid of The Masters bogeyed two holes on Amen Corner to just fall out of contention on the closing stretch.
After losing out to Rory McIlroy in a playoff last year, Rose once again had to watch McIlroy wear the Green Jacket he so desperately wants to win. And at 45 years old, his window is closing.
Will Rose ever claim his long-awaited Masters title? Four-time major winner Dame Laura Davies shared her thoughts.

Davies, shortly after Rose disappointingly missed out to McIlroy again, said she still thinks the Englishman can win The Masters title in the future.
Speaking on Sky Sports, she said, “You wouldn’t back against him. He will be 46 next year and if he keeps up his charge to try and win major championships, especially this one, I can’t back against him.
“He was bitterly disappointed there. Really professional answers but he identified what we did on commentary. He backed off a few shots and wasn’t fully committed, on 10, 11 and 12.
“Just at the wrong time a little bit of doubt in his mind but he knows that. So next year maybe those shots which are so important around Amen Corner. That might be the difference. I certainly would not back against him to have another run next year.”
Fine margins cost Rose in his final round, but he’ll be determined to give it another go next year.
It was another brutal disappointment for Rose, and he was asked immediately after his round if he can win The Masters in the future.
Following his 21st Masters, he said, “You know, I hope so. You look at Freddy, the way he plays around here. Bernard Langer. The guys get around this golf course. I don’t know how they do to hitting greens into the greens.
“It does show this course maybe more than anywhere suit maybe personal style or knowledge or whatever it might be. But, yeah, I hope so, yeah.”
This is a place where experience is key, so as Rose loses some yards off the tee, his knowledge of the course could steer him to a win.
