Conor Benn reignited talk of a high-profile clash after outpointing Regis Prograis last weekend, quickly calling out Ryan Garcia.
Garcia later suggested that discussions were already advanced, even hinting the fight could take place in Las Vegas in August. That optimism created momentum around the potential matchup.
Dana White, however, offered a more cautious perspective when asked about the bout.

During his appearance on ESPN’s First Take, White made it clear he supports making fights fans want, such as the potential fight between Garcia and Benn.
Despite that, he stopped short of confirming any agreement, leaving the situation open rather than settled.
He said: “I agree with everything he [Benn] said. That’s why I’m in the business right now, is to make the fights that people want to see.”
Zuffa Boxing’s founder also used the opportunity to criticise rival promoters, adding: “This sport is way more broken than I even thought it was. I’ve already done more fights this year, my first year, than all the promoters combined.”
Benn’s period as a free agent proved brief following his win last weekend.
He became available to negotiate with other promoters after Saturday’s fight, but moved quickly to secure his future, as many fans expected.
After previously agreeing a $15 million one-fight deal, the Briton has now signed a longer contract.
The new agreement with Zuffa Boxing is set to run for two and a half years, reinforcing White’s plans moving forward.
Dana White expressed caution regarding the potential matchup between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn, despite the fighters' optimism.
Ryan Garcia hinted that the fight could occur in Las Vegas in August, although no official confirmation has been made.
The fight is significant as it features two high-profile boxers, with Benn recently calling out Garcia after his win over Regis Prograis, generating considerable interest.
