Chris Ballard, the GM of the Indianapolis Colts, will hold a pre-draft press conference on Monday, April 20, at 12:00 PM ET. This event will address the team's recent roster changes and preparations for the upcoming 2026 NFL draft.
With the 2026 NFL draft near, we will hear from Indianapolis Colts' GM Chris Ballard next week.
As he does each year before the draft, Ballard will speak with local media members. This year, it will be taking place on Monday, Apr. 20, at 12:00 PM ET, according to Jake Arthur.
Ballard was quite active in free agency, with the Colts' roster experiencing its share of turnover. This includes making nine outside signings, re-signing several of the team's own free agents, including Daniel Jones and Alec Pierce, along with trading away Michael Pittman and Zaire Franklin.
Kenny Moore is also on the trade block, not to mention that Samson Ebukam, Kwity Paye, Nick Cross, and Braden Smith, among others, all signed elsewhere in free agency.
However, despite the numerous moves, there are still roster holes to be addressed in the NFL draft.
Ballard will have to accomplish this with limited draft capital at that moment. The Colts have only seven picks in total, including just two in the top 100.
More may be on the way, however. If the Colts can trade Moore, that should net them an additional pick, not to mention that Ballard has strongly hinted at wanting to trade back to acquire more capital.
Along with Ballard speaking on Monday, head coach Shane Steichen will speak on Tuesday as the Colts' voluntary offseason programs begin.
