The Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke about LAâs offensive issues after their loss to the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.
The Dodgers only scored three runs over their last two games against the Marlins, and had to stage a ninth-inning comeback to steal a win in the opening game of the series. Roberts believes the Dodgersâ issues began much earlier, though.
âI donât think weâre collectively swinging the bats the way we were early,â Roberts said. âSort of started in Colorado, I think. Itâs one of those things where hitting is definitely cyclical. The Dodgers began a series against the Rockies April 17, getting off to a good start with a 7-1 win, but couldnât keep the bats going. They lost both of the following two games, then went on to score just four times in three games against the in their next series.
