David Pastrnak continues adding notches in his Hall of Fame career. This season’s accomplishment is one that only 17 other players in the NHL’s more than 100-year history have ever accomplished.
With Pastrnak’s primary assist on linemate Morgan Geekies' first-period goal in Tuesday night’s regular-season finale, Pastrnak recorded his 100th point of the season. This is now the fourth consecutive season Pastrnak has had 100 or more points.
Two other Bruins have also made the very exclusive list: Phil Esposito and Bobby Orr.
Esposito hit the mark five times in a row, spanning from 1970 until 1975. Orr’s streak started a season before and ended the same year.
Pastrnak becomes the first player to accomplish this feat in more than 50 seasons since 1975, giving him a claim for the Bruins' most prolific scorer this century.
Even this generation's G.O.A.T.s, like Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin, have never been able to string together four such seasons.
At just 29-years-old, Pastrnak has several seasons remaining to continue building his legacy, but it is worth considering where four consecutive 100-point seasons places him in this century’s conversation of all-time greats.
