The PBR World Finals is set to take place this month in Fort Worth Texas at Cowtown Coliseum. With the finals just around the corner, there was one final stop to make on this season PBR Unleash the Beast tour.
The best bull riders in the world made their way to Tacoma Washington where Daylon Swearingen would come out as the event champion, and standings would dramatically shift.
Swearingen went 3 for 3 on the weekend. He went into Tacoma sitting number 17 in the standings, a pretty comfortable spot to secure a World Finals qualification. However, getting the win launched him to number 8 going into Fort Worth.
Fans knew something big could happen in that final round when they saw Daylon Swearingen's name next to the the No. 1 bull in the world, Pegasus. Daylon took full advantage of the opportunity putting together a very impressive 94.90 point ride that would secure the event win. He finished with 270.85 points on the three bulls.
His consistency lately has stood out. Swearingen has gotten a score on 9 of his past 11 bulls, and many of those have been for big money and titles such as this. He is not just covering his bulls, but he is riding very sharp. He could not ask for a better time to be on top of his game, as he now enters the PBR World Finals in great shape.
With 500.50 points, Swearingen is still a way out of the top spot held now by John Crimber with 984.50 points. However, Daylon has capitalized at the finals before and is looking to do the same in 2026.
In 2019, Swearingen became the youngest cowboy in history to qualify for both the PBR World Finals and the NFR in the same year. In 2022, he secured his first PBR World Championship. That gold buckle was only the start. He was drafted to the Carolina Cowboys and has since helped them in their great success in the PBR Teams events.
Earlier this year, Daylon also captured the title at the Tallahassee event. This was his first event win since 2022, the year he won the World Championship.
Daylon Swearingen went 3 for 3 and won the event in Tacoma.
After his win in Tacoma, Daylon Swearingen is ranked 8th in the PBR standings.
The PBR World Finals will take place this month in Fort Worth, Texas at Cowtown Coliseum.

The inevitable injuries came at Swearingen in 2025. However, he clearly came back stronger than ever. He is now one of the valued riders for the Nashville Stampede, and one of the greatest playing the game.
Daylon comes from a rodeo family. Success on the back of a bull isn't guaranteed for anyone, but Swearingen was one of those kids that was given every opportunity to pave that path. His dad, Sam, owns Rawhide Rodeo Company, one of the most well known and successful stock contracting companies in the world.
Although there are not a lot of World Champions that come from the state of New York, that is where Daylon's roots lie. Now, he calls Texas home with a family of his own.
Now Swearingen will now head Fort Worth Texas May 7th-17th with another World Championship on his mind. He has built a legacy and a name, and Daylon Swearingen is easily in the Greatest of All Time conversation.
