Apr. 21āIn six days, the Dayton Flyers coaching staff turned an eight-man 2026-27 roster into a 14-man group.
Landen Joseph, a 6-foot-2 guard who played his freshman season at Marshall, became the sixth transfer to commit to Dayton on Tuesday, April 21. Joe Tipton, of On3.com, first reported the news.
Dayton's flurry of transfer additions started Thursday when Travis Perry, a 6-1 sophomore guard from Ole Miss, and Jalen Haynes, a 6-8 fifth-year forward from Cincinnati, committed to Dayton within two hours of each other.
Then on Saturday night, Murray State transfer Tristian Ford, a 6-3 freshman guard, announced his commitment to Dayton, hours before Marquette transfer Zaide Lowery, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, picked the Flyers.

I would describe my game as an energetic leader on the floor with my shooting ability and the way I defend on and off the ball," he told 247Sports.com then. "One of my main strengths is definitely my ability to shoot the 3 from deep and at a good percent.
With five returning players, six new transfers and three incoming freshmen, Dayton has 14 scholarship players on the 2026-27 roster. The roster limit is 15.
The three walk-ons expected to be on the 2026-27 roster do not count against the roster limit because they were members of the team before the roster limit rule changed.
