The Avalanche have another award finalist, joining Gabe Landeskogâs nomination for the Masterton. Weâre probably going to get another finalist today when the final three for the Norris Trophy are announced.
Game 1 had a lot of fun stats and records for the Avalanche. Game 2 wasnât at the same level, but there were still three that stuck out to me yesterday, so I wrote about them.

The Anaheim Ducks were the better team for the second game in a row. But this time, they got the win to split the series and take home-ice advantage away from the Golden Knights. The only bummer for the Ducks was a goal from Mark Stone with 5.6 seconds remaining to ruin what wouldâve been the first shutout of the season (regular season or playoffs) for Lukas Dostal.
Either way, Joel Quennevilleâs club is heading home with the series tied 1-1.
