That deal - worth £400k per week - is now set to be ripped up. Having reached an agreement with club bosses to end his spell on Merseyside a year early Salah is to become one of the hottest free agent prospects in the game.
It’s been speculated that Salah’s future will belong to either MLS or the Saudi Pro League. The two-time African footballer of the year is wanted by San Diego FC and in Saudi Arabia there is interest from Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah.
But if the latest report in A Spor is to be believed then Salah is NOT yet done at the top level.
The left-footed attacker wants to REMAIN in Europe - following discussions between his representatives and club officials at Fenerbahce.
“According to A Spor reporter Erdem Akbaş, Ertan Torunoğulları, representing Fenerbahçe, held two meetings with Mohamed Salah's agent,” the report reads.
Mo Salah is leaving Liverpool a year early after reaching an agreement with club bosses to terminate his contract.

Salah's departure could significantly impact Liverpool's performance, as he has been a key player since joining the club in 2017.

Salah is thought to be seeking a payday of at least £335k per week for his next move - with European clubs not able to pay as much as what’s on offer in Saudi Arabia.
“Salah stated that he expects a salary of 20 million Euros and that he wants to continue his career in Europe,” the report reads.
Salah’s team are reported to have held two episodes of talks with the Istanbul outfit but a third meeting has been halted.
Bitter recriminations have come following Fener’s derby loss to Galatasaray last weekend - a result that cost Domenico Tedesco his job as head coach. For now the focus is on presidential elections.
“A third meeting was planned after the Galatasaray match, but contacts were halted due to the election decision,” the report reads.
Liverpool have been duly warned. Salah still sees himself as a player capable of performing in a major league. Let’s hope they don’t regret this.
