Fabio Capello is questioning whether Arsenalâs defence will be able to handle the speed of PSG or Bayern Munichâs attack in the Champions League Final. In response, Alessandro Del Piero says, âAnything can happen in a final, but over two legs, they wouldnât have come out alive.â
Italian football legends Del Piero, Capello and Alessandro Costacurta discussed Arsenalâs chances to win the Champions League after the Gunners beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 on Tuesday to qualify for the Final.
âThe question I ask myself is: will Arsenalâs defence be able to stop one of the two teams theyâll face in terms of speed?â Capello asked during Sky Sport Italiaâs post-match show.
âBoth Paris and Bayern have three or four positions where they can do whatever they want. Constant one-on-one situations. Right, left, centre. They are fast, strong, and they know how to shoot and score goals,â Del Piero replied.
âThe positive thing for Arsenal is that it is a final. In my opinion, over the two legs, they wouldnât have come out alive against either of them. In a final, anything can happen; there are many dynamics.â
Del Piero won the Champions League once as a footballer with Juventus, but lost Finals in 1997, 1998 and 2003.
Del Piero expressed optimism for Arsenal, stating that anything can happen in a final.
Capello questions whether Arsenal's defense can handle the speed of PSG or Bayern Munich's attacks.
Arsenal qualified for the final by defeating Atletico Madrid 1-0.

PSG and Bayern Munich will meet at the Allianz Arena in Munich tonight for the second leg of the Champions League semis after a spectacular 5-4 victory for the Ligue 1 giants in the first leg last week.
Inter were the last Serie A club to win the Champions League in 2010, and the Nerazzurri and Juventus have lost the final twice each since.
