In the second semifinal, Yorktown and Wapahani provided the best game of the tournament thus far. The Raiders struck first by scoring on an error in the top of the first inning, but the Tigers responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Senior third baseman Ryan Burkholder tripled into center field to drive in the tying run, and junior first baseman Sam Tokar brought Burkholder home with a single on the next at-bat.
Things held steady at 2-1 for most of the game until Yorktown blew it open in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, junior second baseman Kaden Crumes belted a triple into right field to clear the bases and stretch the Tiger lead to 5-1. Burkholder capitalized on the momentum that was created by doubling on the next at-bat to bring Crumes home. Just as he did in the first, Tokar followed Burkholder's RBI with one of his own, driving the latter home with another single.
After pitching two relief innings in the first round, junior Luke Cahoe got the start and the win for Yorktown. He went five innings and struck out four batters while giving up one unearned run on three hits and three walks. Burkholder pitched the sixth inning and struck out one, and sophomore Ethan Hellems finished it off with three strikeouts in the seventh.
