The Arizona Diamondbacks are off to a good start this season with an 11-8 record. They might be third place in the NL West, but there's been a lot of success lately with series wins over the New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Baltimore Orioles.
But there is one major issue the Diamondbacks are facing this season, and it has to do with Corbin Carroll. Despite the outfielder coming back from a hamate bone injury this season, Carroll has been one of the best hitters on the team.
However, as Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer urges, the Diamondbacks need to get more help around Carroll in the lineup. He and a few others have been great, but the offense needs a lot more help this season.
"Arizona Diamondbacks: Corbin Carroll Needs Help," Rymer writes. "The whole D-Backs offense, though, only has a .674 OPS. There hasn't been much help from Ketel Marte or Geraldo Perdomo, though the former is heating up with three home runs in his last three games."
The bat of Marte heating up is a good sign, but the Diamondbacks need a lot more help than simply getting Marte back to All-Star levels.
This season, Carroll has a .958 OPS. Ildemaro Vargas has a surprising 1.076 OPS in 42 at-bats, while Jose Fernandez has an .818 OPS in 44 at-bats.
Looking at the rest of the roster shows a bleak offensive situation. Jordan Lawler has a .956 OPS, but he's on the injured list. Jorge Barrosa (.734 OPS), Gabriel Moreno (.733), Adrian Del Castillo (.714), and Marte (.702) are the other hitters above a .700 OPS.

Moreno is out due to injury, while Castillo has had just 24 at-bats this season. The production from Barrosa is welcome, and Marte is finally heating up.
But, with Alek Tomas posting a .314 OPS, Nolan Arenado a .510 OPS, and Perdomo a .586 OPS, the Diamondbacks have multiple lineup spots with big question marks.
The offense needs to be a lot better if they want to contend with the top teams in the National League, especially the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.
Finding a way to bring in more offensive firepower would be huge for the D-Backs. Carroll is a great player, but with Marte, Perdomo, and others not playing as well as they should, the Diamondbacks need some help on offense this season.
Corbin Carroll has been one of the best hitters on the Diamondbacks, significantly contributing to their performance this season.
The Diamondbacks' offense has been lackluster, and experts believe that adding more talent around Carroll is essential for improving their overall performance.
The Diamondbacks currently have an 11-8 record and are in third place in the NL West.
