LeBron James and his beard have been together for most of his legendary NBA career.

Would he ever shave it? That's a question Los Angeles Lakers fans, and fans across the league, have been asking themselves this month.

That's because Overtime posted on its official TikTok account that James had indeed done just that.

It's a slideshow post of multiple clean-shaven James pictures.

It might not be what first meets the eye, though.

Did LeBron James shave his beard?

Nope, LeBron's beard is still intact.

That TikTok post was shared on April 1 — April Fools' Day — and continues to make the rounds on social media.

It definitely fooled some folks.

But maybe even more startling is just seeing James without a beard in whatever kind of image generation was done there.

He's so familiar with a beard on his face. Baby-faced LeBron may not have had one, but otherwise, this is the King James that the NBA knows.

It's hard to envision what the 41-year-old James' face looks like without facial hair. It's just not a look anyone is used to.

But we won't get to find that out right now. He's not actually without his beard. It's still there, just like LeBron is still there in the NBA doing his thing like he has for the last couple decades.
