Diego Pavia has officially been signed to an NFL roster.
The 2025 Heisman runner-up from Vanderbilt was one of the most electric players in college football over the last two seasons, but he ultimately went unselected in the 2026 NFL draft. The Baltimore Ravens invited Pavia to their rookie mini-camp this weekend, but instead, they've opted to sign him as an undrafted free agent, sight unseen.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it's a standard, three-year UDFA deal for Pavia. He became the second UDFA quarterback signed by Baltimore on Tuesday, joining former UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano.
Pavia, who is 24, was a First Team All-American and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year this past season. He began his career in JUCO, winning a national title at New Mexico Military Institute. He later transferred to New Mexico State, where he was the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year in 2023.
Though he finds himself on an offseason roster, it will likely be an uphill battle to make the final 53-man Ravens squad. NFL teams typically don't roster three quarterbacks, and he will be competing with both veteran backup Tyler Huntley and Fagnano for the No. 2 role behind an MVP-caliber quarterback in Lamar Jackson.
