Diego Pavia has signed a three-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens ahead of his first NFL tryout, despite going undrafted. This deal comes as the Ravens also signed former UConn QB Joe Fagnano.
Diego Pavia went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft despite an impressive resume that includes being an SEC Offensive Player of the Year and Hesiman Trophy runner-up, and it looked like he was going to have to fight his way into a roster spot after receiving an invite to the Ravens mini-camp – with others eager to see him potentially land in the UFL. Now, it appears none of that will be a concern.
That's because Pavis has officially been signed to a three-year contract by the Ravens ahead of his tryout, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. It is not clear what changed in the team's plans that led them to lock him into a multi-year deal ahead of the mini-camp, or whether this was the initial plan.
Pavia is not the only undrafted free agent to ink a deal with the Ravens on Tuesday, though. The franchise also reached a three-year deal with former UConn QB Joe Fagnano. Fagnano spent seven years at the collegiate level and is 25 years old. He finished his final season with the Huskies by completing 69 percent of his passes for 3,448 yards with 28 touchdowns and just one interception.
With Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley already on the roster, it's unclear if there is truly room for both Fagnano and Pavia in the quarterback room in Baltimore, and someone in the room likely ends up somewhere else eventually. But for now, Pavia has his NFL opportunity and the chance to prove he's worth the deal he just signed.
