In Class 3A, the top five finishers advance to the PIAA Championships the following weekend at Shippensburg. In 2A, the top two finishers advance. Competitors who do not automatically qualify can advance if they better the state qualifying standard in the district meet.
Oley Valleyâs top seeds are Ryan Gourley (3,200), Aspen Freed (110 hurdles) and Jacob Mackie (pole vault) in individual events. The Lynx are the top seed in the 4 x 400 and 4 x 800 relays.
Here is a look at each event in each class:
Class 3A
100: If Wilson senior Jaiden Carpenter is going to be the District 3 sprint king this spring, it will start with the 100. Heâs the second seed behind Ephrata senior Wright Young, but their seed times, 10.64 to 10.67, point to a race that could be decided right at the finish line.
200: Carpenter, a West Chester commit, is the top seed here with Daniel Boone junior Cameron Cremi fourth-seeded at 21.70. Carpenter won the 100 and 200 in last weekâs BCIAA championships.
400: Three of the top five times are Berks runners, with Twin Valley senior Ben Grundy second at 48.86. Conrad Weiser sophomore Collin Moore served notice at the BCIAA championships that he will be a contender by winning in 48.91 and is the third seed. Twin Valleyâs Dominic Summers is seeded fifth at 49.2. Cumberland Valley junior Danny Hertzler is the top seed at 48.45.
800: Joseph Murphy of Hershey is the top at 1:50.36. BCIAA champion Asher Madison of Conrad Weiser (1:56.82) is seeded ninth.
1600: Murphy is also the top seed in the 1600, but itâs only three-hundreths of a second ahead of Cedar Crestâs Travis Furmanski. Gov. Mifflinâs Seth Toal is seeded sixth (4:21.54).
3200: Exeter senior Chase Choudhry has the top time in 3A after running 9:15.22 at the Hoka Henderson Invitational on May 1. Gov. Mifflinâs Seth Toal was right behind him in that race at 9:15.74. Both are seniors. Toal took second in the BCIAA meet in 9:24.05 with Choudhry having an off race, placing fifth in 9:47.67.
110 HH: BCIAA champion Mason Gruber of Hamburg is the second seed, but just five-hundredths of a second behind top-seeded Ryder Newlin of Ephrata, 14.33 to 14.38. Schuylkill Valleyâs Carson Reali, second in the BCIAA meet, is fifth seeded at 14.56.
300 IH: Red Lion senior Markus Edwards is the top seed at 38.89 with two Wilson hurdlers in the top seven, including BICAA champ Colin Youtz (39.49) who is seeded seventh. His teammate Damian Greer is seeded fourth at 39.2.
Relays: Wilson, with Carpenter on the anchor, is the top seed at 41.83 in the 4 x100 with Spring Grove second (41.95). Wilson is the third seed in the 4 x 400 (3:21.66) with Milton Hershey the top seed at 3:20.42. In the 4 x 800, Conrad Weiser is fifth seeded at 8:02.55. J.P. McCaskey is the top seed at 7:49.11.
Berks has 12 top seeds, with Oley Valley featuring five in Class 2A, including Ryan Gourley, Aspen Freed, and Jacob Mackie.
The championships begin on Friday and conclude on Saturday at Shippensburg University.
In Class 3A, the top five finishers advance to the PIAA Championships, while in Class 2A, the top two finishers qualify.
Oley Valley's top seeds are competing in the 3,200 meters, 110 hurdles, pole vault, and both the 4 x 400 and 4 x 800 relays.

High jump: Bishop McDevittâs Ryan Ofak is the top seed at 6-8. Berksâ highest seeded is Tulpehocken junior Leshane Christ 12th at 6-4.
Pole vault: Jaxton Barger of Palmyra is top-seeded at 15-6 with Fleetwoodâs Hudson Hartz seeded seventh at 14-0.
Long jump: Fuda Abdullateef of Schuylkill Valley is the highest Berks athlete in this event as the third seed at 22-6ž but heâs coming off a seventh-place finish at the BCIAA meet with a jump of 19-11. BCIAA champ Geomare Perez of Reading High is seeded 12th at 21-11ž. He won the conference title with a leap of 21-1. Tulpehockenâs Leshane Christ is fifth seeded at 22-5Âź. The top seed is Okenie McLaughlin of Chambersburg at 23-0, but second seed Hector Vergara of Octoara has also jumped 23-0.
Triple jump: The top seed is Brayden Billman of New Oxford (48-9) with the top Berks jumper being Rayen Urena Lopez of Muhlenberg (44-9) who is seeded fifth.
Shot put: Hempfield senior Wilder Long is the top seed at 57-10 with Tulpehocken senior Jack Heckman fifth at 54-1 and Wilson junior Michael Glover sixth at 53-9. Exeter freshman Cayden Reinert is seeded eighth at 53-8.
Discus: BCIAA champion Michael Gauby of Schuylkill Valley is the top seed with a toss of 176-9 with Long, the top seed in the shot put, second at 172-10. Gauby won the conference title last week with a throw of 169-6.
Javelin: Octorara senior Mason Prokay is the top seed at 205-2. Berksâ highest seed is Braydon Farrel of Wilson, 18th at 162-11.
Note: The top five finishers automatically qualify for the PIAA Championships with sixth through eighth qualifying if they meet the state qualifying standard.
Class 2A
100: Top seed, Silas Hernandez, Steelton-Highspire, 11.00. Berks highest seed, Owen Gibney, Wyomissing, sixth, 11.35.
200: Top seed, Isaish Chase, Trinity, 22.22. Berks highest seed, Michael Henin, Oley Valley, sixth, 23.09.
400: Berks runners are seeded one-two in this event, with Brandywine Heights junior John Shuey the top seed at 50.98 and Oley Valley senior Andrew Zook second at 51.15.
800: Top seed, David Moran, Annville-Cleona, 1:54.89. Berks highest seed, Chris Roberts, Berks Catholic, sixth, 1:59.46.
1600: Oley Valley senior Ryan Gourley will run the 1600 after competing in the 3200 on Friday. He is seeded fifth at 4:23.27 with Annville-Cleonaâs Oliver Funck the top seed at 4:17.03.
3200: Gourley is the top seed by quite a margin in this event. His 9:14.28 at the Hoka Henderson Invitational is more than 15 seconds faster than the second seed, which is Funck at 9:29.42. Gourley won the BCIAA title in 9:23.94.
110H: Berks athletes are the top three seeds in the 110 hurdles, with Oley junior Aspen Freed top seeded at 14.84. Wyomissing sophomore Brady Eisenhower is second at 14,94, followed by senior teammate Daniel Delp (15.42).
300IH: Berks has three of the top four seeds here with Trinityâs Elam Aroko seeded first at 40.61. Eisenhower is the second seed (40.64) followed by Oley Valleyâs Ben Haines (40.70) and Freed (40.96).
Relays: Oley Valley is the top seed in two of the three relay events. The Lynxâs runnerup finish in the BCIAA meet (3:25.09) earned them the No. 1 seed in the 4 x 400. They are also the top seed in the 4 x 800 at 8:05.78. Berksâ highest seeded team in the 4 x 100 is Wyomissing at fifth (44.39).
High jump: Delone Catholic senior Luke Rebert is the top seed at 6-5, with Wyomissingâs Zaire Jones and Jacir Queenan-Coleman second and third, respectively, with both having best clearances of 6-3.
Pole vault: Oley Valley sophomore Jacob Mackie is the top seed with a two-foot best over the second seed. Mackieâs best this season is 15-6.
Long jump: Wyomissingâs Daniel Moyer is the second seed at 20-11 with Littlestownâs Zander Spillan seeded first at 22-4.
Triple jump: Wyomissing is one-two in the seeds. Jossian Lopez-Sanchezâs best is 43-5 with Zaire Jones second seeded at 43-3.
Shot put: BCIAA champion Alexander Reali of Berks Catholic is the third seed at 53-7 with Annville-Cleonaâs Dominic Wentling the top seed at 55-5½ and Steelton Highspireâs Quan Padgett right behind at 55-5. All three are sophomores.
Discus: The same three are on the top seeds in the discus, with the seeding order shuffled. Padget is the top seed at 169-4 with Reali at 167-1 and Wentling at 160-1.
Javelin: Wyomissing has the top two seeds with Chase Eisenhower just three inches ahead of teammate Daniel Delp. Eisenhowerâs best is 173-8 with Delp at 173-5.
