Billy Donovan steps down as head coach of the Chicago Bulls after six seasons.
The Tennessee Titans are facing criticism for their quarterback situation, with Cam Ward ranked among the worst in the NFL. Despite a challenging rookie season, there is potential for improvement under new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
The 2026 NFL draft is just a couple of days away, and the Tennessee Titans head into that on the heels of an active free agency period that appears to have reset the floor under new head coach Robert Saleh.
Now, they will have a chance to improve further and address some of the remaining holes. The Titans have some needs along the interior of the offensive line, on the edge, at wide receiver, and at linebacker, all positions that have some impact players available.
One position the team isn’t worried about is quarterback, where Cam Ward is entrenched as the starter, and the team has some depth behind him. That is, unless you follow Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report, who ranks the Titans quarterback room near the bottom of the league.
10. Tennessee Titans
Why it's Bad: As the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, Cam Ward averaged a league-worst 5.9 yards per attempt. He was the lowest-rated passer among those with more than 10 starts and took an NFL-high 55 sacks.
Silver Lining: A lot of successful quarterbacks have overcome horrible rookie campaigns. Ward was always considered a bit of a project with limited support. He's still just 23, and it's possible new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will take him to the next level. For what it's worth, the Titans have plenty of backup options in Will Levis, Mitchell Trubisky, and Hendon Hooker.
Critically, Ward posted six touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 103.8 passer rating in the final four weeks of his rookie year. It's probably a toss-up as to whether he becomes a franchise quarterback or fades away.

While Gagnon does address the NFL-high 55 sacks and lack of weapons the Ward dealt with as a rookie adjusting to the NFL, he fails to capture exactly how bad the offense was under Brian Callahan early in the season or the gauntlet of top-rated defenses Ward faced as a rookie. Still, he came out the other side with a tremendously successful rookie season full of growth, finishing the season with 3,159 yards passing, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while chipping in another 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Once the offense stabilized after the firing of Callahan and the departure of his father, offensive line coach Bill Callahan, the Titans' offense took off, even without their most experienced and explosive receiving threats. Ward threw for 2,068 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only four interceptions, and added 123 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. And those statistics include him missing all but one drive in the season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
More importantly, Ward proved to be a team leader and a driving force, clearly deserving of his draft slot and cementing himself as the face of the franchise heading into the future.
