Although the Los Angeles Dodgers took home the win against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday, the night proved frustrating for Dodgers catcher Dalton Rushing.
Rushing went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts on Thursday, May 14, showing clear frustration after his final two at-bats as he smacked his head multiple times with his bat.
During his three at-bats, Rushing first struck out against Landen Roupp in the second inning with runners on second and third. After striking out again in the fourth, the 25-year-old catcher returned to the dugout and snapped his bat over his knee, video showed.
Two innings later, Rushing struck out swinging against Matt Gage with runners on second and third once again, prompting another emotional reaction. Following his return to the dugout, cameras caught him slamming a bat into his helmet before burying his face in his hands and shouting.

Despite Rushing’s frustration, the Dodgers secured a 5-2 victory over the Giants in the final game of the four-game series.
The Dodgers split the series with the win, after a 4-0 victory on Wednesday that followed two losses, by a score of 9-3 on Monday and 6-2 on Tuesday.
Rushing will look to break his batting slump on Friday night when the Dodgers travel cross-town to play the Los Angeles Angels.
