The Los Angeles Dodgers released their lineup for the third and final game of their series against the New York Mets.
The Dodgers claimed a 2-1 win over the Mets in a closely contested game on Tuesday, though they managed to record 27 outs without giving up a run following Francisco Lindor’s solo home run to lead off the ballgame. Yoshinobu Yamamoto posted a fantastic line, pitching 7.2 innings with seven strikeouts and only one earned run. Kyle Tucker made himself the hero in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he smacked an RBI single to left.

Shohei Ohtani will make his third start of the season in the series finale, and will look to continue his stellar start to 2026.
The right-hander has pitched 12 innings and is yet to allow an earned run, though an unearned run crossed the plate in his most recent outing.
While Ohtani will be pitching, the Dodgers shockingly will not have Shohei Ohtani in their lineup as the designated hitter for the outing.
Tucker starts in right field and will lead off for the Dodgers for the first time since coming to LA, followed by catcher Will Smith, who moves up to the No. 2 spot. Freddie Freeman will bat third for the Dodgers, moving up from the fifth spot, and left fielder Teoscar Hernandez will bat cleanup.
Third baseman Max Muncy will bat fifth, followed by center fielder Andy Pages. Dalton Rushing steps in as the designated hitter at the No. 7 spot, shortstop Hyeseong Kim remains in the lineup against another right-hander, and second baseman Alex Freeland will bat ninth.
Right-hander Clay Holmes will start the final game of the series for the Mets, coming off of a narrow loss against the Athletics last time out.
The veteran hasn’t quite been ale to keep runners off the bases this season, and has at least three hits and two walks in each of his outings thus far.
The Dodgers’ last series sweep came against the Washington Nationals in the third series of the season, and will hope they can improve their record to 14-4 with a win in the series finale. They currently lead the NL West by two games after a recent surge from the San Diego Padres, and will look to extend their lead with a win tonight.
First pitch for the final game of the series comes at 7:10 p.m. PT.
