Ohtani did something similar again, joining Babe Ruth as the only player in Major League history to accomplish a wild feat. It includes both his skills as a hitter and pitcher.
"Ruth had several 30+ game on-base streaks in his career, the longest of which was a 51-gamer in 1923," OptaSTATS wrote on X. "He had one 30+ inning streak without allowing an earned run on the mound, which came in 1916 (41.0 innings)."

Ohtani saw his scoreless streak end last night as he permitted a run in a 10-strikeout performance against the New York Mets. The Dodgers won 8-2, but Ohtani was not in the lineup.
His 0.50 ERA ranks third in the Majors, behind only Michael Wacha (0.43) of the Kansas City Royals and Jose Soriano (0.33) of the Los Angeles Angels.
