The Los Angeles Dodgers have won their fourth series out of five to start 2026 after taking down the Texas Rangers 6-3 at home.
The Dodgers had another complete showing from their pitching staff and lineup, flexing their muscles as the best team in baseball at the moment.
Emmet Sheehan gave six clean innings, allowing just three runs, which came from two Brandon Nimmo home runs.
Sheehan looked great, other than when he faced Nimmo, who finished going three-for-three. The mechanics were consistent throughout the night, and velocity was up, two really encouraging signs for a pitch that was pegged for a big breakthrough.

The bullpen once again was dominant, with Jack Dreyer, Tanner Scott, and Blake Treinen not allowing any runs.
Dreyer, who had a rough outing back in Toronto, responded by striking out the side in the seventh inning, while Scott needed only nine pitches to get three outs.
Blake Treinen came in to close out the game, but he allowed a walk, and then an error from Max Muncy put two runners on. He got two outs, but Dave Roberts turned to Alex Vesia for the final one.
On his birthday, Vesia got the strikeout and, in traditional fashion, let out a burst of emotion.
The lefty has still not allowed a run on the season, and he is the most in-form out of the bullpen, reliably getting outs.
Offensively, the bottom part of the order was getting it done against. Teoscar Hernandez went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, all three came from a home run.
Additionally, Andy Pages stayed hot with an RBI single in the eighth inning to add further distance between the Rangers and Dodgers.
The real hero was Will Smith, who went 2-for-2 with two walks, getting his plate effectiveness really going after a bit of a slow start.
Shohei Ohtani, after Emmet Sheehan allowed a leadoff home run to Nimmo, responded with his own leadoff homer, which was his first leadoff bomb of the year.
The final score was 6-3 in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Emmet Sheehan pitched for the Dodgers, completing six innings and allowing three runs.
The Dodgers have won four out of five series to start the 2026 season.
