With the win, the Dodgers reclaimed sole possession of first place in the NL West following the Padres’ loss to the Colorado Rockies.
Tyler Glasnow had a fantastic outing for the Dodgers, pitching eight shutout innings with nine strikeouts while allowing just one hit and one walk. The big right-hander has been incredibly effective this season, striking out six or more batters in each of his outings this season. He has a 2.45 ERA through his five starts in 2026.
Dalton Rushing—who has had an incredible month—kicked off the scoring for the Dodgers in the top of the second inning, lining a single into center to score Max Muncy.
Muncy made his own impact two innings later, crushing a double to score Kyle Tucker, who settled into the cleanup spot well with a two-hit day. Hyeseong Kim came up a few batters later to score Muncy, hitting a single to lift.
The Dodgers had the opportunity to add on in the top of the ninth with Shohei Ohtani up to the plate and runners on second and third, but couldn’t convert the chance.
Tanner Scott came into the game for the ninth inning and continued his torrid start to the 2026 season, retiring the side in order to secure his first save of the new season.
With their win, the Dodgers head back to their home turf in sole possession of first place and will look to carry their momentum into a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs. The first of three games against the North Siders comes Friday at 7:15 p.m. PT.
