Jauan Jennings has signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings worth up to $13 million after the Miami Dolphins showed interest in him. The wide receiver previously played for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Miami Dolphins really targeted their wide receiver room as one to address this offseason after trading Jaylen Waddle and releasing veterans Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
While Miami signed a trio of free agents and took three more in the 2026 NFL draft, they were reportedly interested in bringing in former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings as well.
However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that Jennings is signing a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings worth up to $13 million.
Jennings, 28, had caught 210 passes for 2,581 yards and 22 touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2020 and was looking for a big money deal this offseason, but that type of offer never materialized.
While he would've been a solid veteran addition to a young, inexperienced wide receiver room and offense overall, the contract didn't make much sense, considering the Dolphins gave every one of their free-agent signings (besides Malik Willis) less than $2 million.
Jauan Jennings' contract with the Minnesota Vikings is worth up to $13 million.
Before signing with the Vikings, Jauan Jennings played for the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite looking for a big money deal, Jauan Jennings did not receive offers that met his expectations this offseason.
