But there is some uncertainty about what the Dolphins will do at these picks. There are so many needs all across the roster that almost any position could be on the table.
And while general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan isn't going to reveal the team's targeted players, he did reveal a week before the draft what the most likely trade plan will be.
Underdog NFL shared that: "GM Sullivan: Dolphins more likely to trade back than trade up," in the 2026 NFL Draft.
While Miami could, in theory, get super aggressive for a player or two they really like with their abundance of draft picks, the much more likely outcome is a trade-down.
A lot of teams are looking to trade down in the NFL Draft, but there is likely to be a lackluster pool of teams willing to move up.
With a weaker draft class, the Dolphins might have a hard time finding partners to move down the board with.

However, if there is a trade the Dolphins make during the 2026 NFL Draft, especially on Day 1, it's most likely going to be a deal to move down the board to add more picks in Rounds 2-7.
Miami has a ton of capital between its two first-rounders and four third-rounders, but it could use more ammo, especially in 2027's draft class.
Dolphins fans should expect to see their favorite team stick-and-pick, or trade back during the first round of the NFL Draft. A trade-up for Miami, based on this commentary from Sullivan, would be a surprise.
