A position of depth in the 2026 NFL draft could make it all the more likely that the Jacksonville Jaguars address a sneaky positional need in the early rounds.
According to Adam Schefter, the depth of this year's tight end class has the attention of some NFL teams, particularly in the middle rounds.
"This draft has the chance to produce more middle-round values, with some teams saying this is one of the deeper tight end classes in years," wrote Schefter. ..."Teams will have plenty of interest in players such as Vanderbilt'sĀ Eli Stowers, Ohio State'sĀ Max KlareĀ and NC State'sĀ Justin JolyĀ down the board."
Potentially, the Jaguars could be one of those teams interested in adding a tight end.

Also, with the JaguarsĀ releasing Johnny Mundt, there is a roster spot open at tight end as well.
So, while many mock drafts have a heavy emphasis on the Jaguars addressing the defensive side of the ball on Day 2, maybe earmark one of those four draft picks for the tight end position.
