It may be the last weekend series of the regular series, but the Oregon Ducks baseball team hopes this won't be the final three games at PK Park for the 2026 season.
The Ducks begin a huge three-game set with USC tonight, with third place in the Big Ten on the line. The Trojans currently stand at 19-8 in the conference, but Oregon is just a game behind them. Nebraska is a game ahead of USC at 20-7. If everything goes right, the Ducks could get the 2-seed in next week's conference tournament in Omaha.
But there's plenty of business to take care of first.
Oregon is coming back home after losing a rare conference series, but the Ducks can be forgiven, as it was at No. 1 UCLA. But Oregon is happy with itself as the Ducks captured one game in Los Angeles and could have easily taken the final game of the series as well.
The Trojans enter PK Park on a roll, too, as they are winners of seven straight and, unless a complete disaster occurs, should be regional hosts in the NCAA tournament. Their RPI stands at 8, which is more than enough to be a host site in two weeks.
