The Philadelphia Eagles landed themselves one of the most intriguing prospects of the 2026 NFL Draft in the seventh round.
With the No. 251 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Eagles drafted Nigerian prospect Uar Bernard, who is part of the International Player Pathway Program.
A defensive lineman, Bernard is a physical freak who looks like he was built in a lab.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 306 pounds, Bernard has just six-percent body fat, runs a 4.6 40-yard dash and has a 39-inch vertical leap and 10-10 broad jump.
Again, he's a defensive lineman!
I mean, look at this dude.
If there are any fans who know the possibilities with IPP players, it's Eagles fans, who saw Jordan Mailata come through the same program and develop into a fantastic starting offensive lineman.
Bernard is very new to football. In fact, he didn't play it in his home country.
Bernard played basketball instead and got noticed by a coach who said he should try his hand at football. Now, he's in the NFL.
“Hands down, he is the most explosive athlete I’ve ever seen in my life,” trainer Jordan Luallen told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman. “He broad jumped 10-10, and it was effortless. At 306 pounds. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Long-time quarterbacks coach George Whitfield told Feldman Bernard reminds him of the kind of athletic freak NBA superstar Victor Wembayana is.
“It’s like watching (Victor Wembanyama),” Whitfield said. “The numbers don’t even do him justice. He’s 6-5, 310, and he’s got 6 percent body fat on him. NBA players don’t have 6 percent body fat on them.”
