The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for the 2026 NFL draft, with A.J. Brown's future influencing their strategy. Depending on whether he stays or is traded, the Eagles may adjust their draft targets accordingly.
The 2026 NFL draft is rapidly approaching, and the Philadelphia Eagles are almost on the clock.
Over the next 10 days, PennLive will be breaking down each position on the roster, looking at what the Eagles have and what GM Howie Roseman might need in the draft.
Itâd be understandable if Eagles fans are sick of hearing about the A.J. Brown trade talks. But Brownâs future does play a key role in how the Eagles approach the draft.
Thereâs a chance the trade discussions quiet down and Brown stays. But thereâs seemingly a good chance that Brown is traded after June 1. In that case, the Eagles would be recouping 2027 draft capital for Brown.
If Brown goes, the Eagles will need to use 2026 capital to support Jalen Hurts and pair DeVonta Smith with a new partner.
For the 2026-27 season, the Eagles are listed at +130 to win the NFC East on FanDuel. Our comprehensive FanDuel Sportsbook review provides an in-depth guide on how to use their site. If Brown stays, the Eagles could still use another receiver to add competition to a room that includes Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore after free agency.
Letâs take a look at which draft prospects could help the Eagles in both Brown scenarios.

DRAFT OPTIONS
(Overall player rankings courtesy of The Athleticâs Dane Brugler.)
Options if they trade Brown ...
Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State (No. 20): Tyson has a medical history, missing games all four years. But that could push him down a touch into the Eaglesâ range. Brugler compared him to Stefon Diggs, and I can see it. The way he creates separation is fun to watch.
KC Concepcion, Texas A&M (No. 21): Concepcion was a consensus All-American in his solo season at Texas A&M after transferring from N.C. State. He had 19 drops over three years. But his playmaking ability from both outside and the slot make Concepcion an intriguing option.
Omar Cooper Jr., Indiana (No. 22): Cooper also offers inside-outside versatility. The Eagles have hosted him on a top-30 visit, making their interest in him known. His after-the-catch ability was a big reason why Indiana went undefeated and won it all.
Denzel Boston, Washington (No. 26): We projected Boston to land with the Eagles in a recent mock draft. He doesnât have blazing speed by any means. But his strong hands and reliability in contested-catch situations make the 6-foot-4 target a nailed-on first-rounder.
2025 SEC Football Championship
Germie Bernard, Alabama (No. 41): Bernard wonât wow you with his athleticism. But his floor is extremely high as a tough, dependable and complementary WR2. Flip on Alabama tape from last year and youâll see why Ty Simpson targeted him so much.
Chris Bell, Louisville (No. 47): Like Cooper, Bell also visited the Eagles during the pre-draft process. He said at the Scouting Combine that he models his game off of Brown, and it shows. Bell tore his ACL in November, making his training camp availability a question mark.
Options if they keep Brown ...
Antonio Williams, Clemson (No. 59): Brugler noted that he has a little Khalil Shakir to his game, and I would tend to agree. Williams is super slippery with the ball in his hands. And while he isnât a slot-only guy, pairing him with Smith and Brown in Mannionâs offense would be fun.
Ted Hurst, Georgia State (No. 72): The Eagles are reportedly interested in Hurst, which makes a lot of sense. The former zero-star recruit broke out at Georgia State after transferring over from D-II Valdosta State. He showcased at the Senior Bowl that he can hang with the best.
Texas vs. Georgia 2025
Zachariah Branch, Georgia (No. 76): Every time I watched Georgia last year it felt like they werenât getting Branch involved enough. He has blazing speed (4.35-second 40-yard dash), which was used in the screen and jet sweep game at Georgia. Mannion is expected to bring more motion to the Eaglesâ offense. Maybe Branch could be a weapon.
Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee (No. 96): Brazzell feels a bit boom-or-bust. But Roseman said he thought the vertical passing game was a bit lacking last year, which it was. Brazzellâs field-stretching ability would give him a role immediately if Hollywood Brown isnât cutting it.
Kevin Coleman Jr., Missouri (N/A): Coleman is projected as a fifth or sixth-round pick. But if the Eagles use their Day 1 and 2 picks elsewhere, the Senior Bowl standout would be a nice slot option late on Day 3. Coleman also has some juice as a punt returner.
