The Philadelphia Eagles hosted LSU tight end Bauer Sharp for a top-30 prospect visit ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, indicating their interest in strengthening the tight end position. Sharp is not as widely recognized as other prospects like Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq.
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to target the tight end position in next weekâs 2026 NFL draft. They took another step toward preparing for that on Monday.
The Eagles hosted LSU tight end Bauer Sharp on a top-30 prospect visit on Monday at the Jefferson Health Training Complex, according to Sharpâs Instagram account.
Sharp might not be a household name for Eagles fans who have read about the possibility of taking Oregonâs Kenyon Sadiq in the first round.
The Eagles are listed at +115 to win over 10.5 games on DraftKings for the 2026-27 season. Our in-depth DraftKings Sportsbook review provides a complete guide on how to use their site. Also, make sure to visit our NFL futures betting guide to find out more about how to bet on NFL futures.
Sharp, a zero-star recruit coming out of high school, spent three years at Southeastern Louisiana (2021-23) before transferring to Oklahoma (2024) then LSU (2025).
With the Sooners and Tigers, Sharp recorded 576 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Heâs also a âviolentâ blocker, according to The Athleticâs Dane Brugler.
âSharp is more average than above average in most categories,â Brugler wrote in his draft preview, The Beast. âBut his special teams experience and alignment versatility give him a shot to earn an NFL roster spot.â
Sharp is ranked as the No. 25 tight end in the class with a seventh-round grade, according to Brugler. So he would be a late-round flier or even an undrafted free agent.
But the Eagles could bring in two tight ends in this class. They could draft Sadiq (or Vanderbiltâs Eli Stowers or Ohio Stateâs Max Klare on Day 2) and still add a player like Sharp.
The Eagles brought back Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra and signed Johnny Mundt in free agency. But all three of them are one-year deals.
General manager Howie Roseman said at NFL owners meetings that the Eagles arenât done addressing the tight end position and will do so in the draft.
Perhaps Sharp will end up in Philly later next week.
