The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to prioritize an offensive lineman with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, as they look to address aging players on their roster. Howie Roseman is likely to act if a top offensive line prospect is available.

Offensive line help seems to be at the top of the priority list for the Philadelphia Eagles, and thereās reason to believe that Howie Roseman will do whatās needed to address it when it matters most.
Itās impossible to say exactly what the Eagles might do on draft night, as there are still many different directions the organization could go, but taking an offensive lineman with their first-round pick seems likely, depending on how the board falls. If the Eagles find a player they truly love and itās an offensive lineman, donāt be surprised to see Roseman go that route.
With players like Lane Johnson and others getting older on this roster and needing to be replaced in the future, the Eagles have clear reasons to invest in the offensive line. When recently looking at who could be the most likely first-round pick for the team, multiple offensive linemen were named.
āAlabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor or Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling fit this description. If the Eagles had their way, my guess is theyād draft an offensive tackle. Both are high-upside linemen who could become potential Lane Johnson replacements with development. Proctor has the added benefit of being able to swing inside to guard early in his career. Both are under 22 years old and come from programs the Eagles trust. (Five of the Eaglesā last six first-round picks came from Alabama or Georgia.)
āThe question is whether theyāll slip to a territory for the Eagles. Dane Brugler projected Freeling to go No. 17 to the Detroit Lions and Proctor to fall to the Eagles at No. 23. Howie Roseman hasnāt drafted an offensive lineman in the first round since 2019. He takes pride in building along the line of scrimmage. You canāt dictate the board, but it would make sense for Roseman to put his philosophy into action,ā Zach Berman of The Athletic wrote regarding the Eaglesā most likely first-round pick.
I really like the idea of going after somebody like Kadyn Proctor, as he has the potential to be a very good player in the NFL. Drafting an elite offensive lineman is typically a safer move for organizations, and in this scenario, it would also address a clear need for the Eagles. It might not be the flashiest decision, but it could benefit them for a very long time.
The Eagles are likely to draft an offensive lineman, depending on the available prospects.
The Eagles need to focus on offensive linemen due to aging players like Lane Johnson on their roster that require future replacements.
The Eagles' first-round pick will be influenced by the draft board and the availability of players they truly value.
