Following a whirlwind recruitment process, East Lincoln football standout Jaxon Dollar has chosen where he plans to spend his college years.
A five-star prospect, and North Carolina’s top recruit, announced his commitment to Georgia on April 30.
Dollar is ranked as the No. 2 tight end and the country’s No. 32 overall player in the Class of 2027, according to 247Sports. He selected Georgia over a who’s who of powerhouse programs, among them Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami (Florida), Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M, among others. NC State and North Carolina were also among those in the running for Dollar’s services.
A 6-foot-5, 222-pound athlete, his recruitment took off following a 2025 campaign in which he caught 54 passes for 1,190 yards and 20 touchdowns. East Lincoln finished with a 10-2 record, advancing to the NCHSAA 5A West playoffs where it fell to eventual state champion Crest.

Crest football hosted an NCHSAA 5A West third round playoff game at Sid Bryson Stadium in Boiling Springs against East Lincoln. The Chargers won 31-14 to advance to next week's regional semifinal.

In two varsity seasons, Dollar has 67 receptions for 1,414 yards and 26 TDs.
The youngest of three brothers, he joins brothers Cameron and Sidney in playing collegiately. Cameron played football at Charlotte from 2018-21, where he caught 60 passes for 883 yards and eight TDs. Meanwhile, Sidney played in 126 games for Lees-McRae’s men’s basketball team from 2019-24.
A two-sport athlete, Dollar also excels on the basketball court. This past winter, he earned Western Foothills 4A/5A and NCBCA District 10 player of the year honors, averaging a double-double with 21 points and 10.3 rebounds, in addition to 6.3 assists and 3.2 steals. The Mustangs finished with a 22-5 record, advancing to the NCHSAA 5A regional semifinal round.
