Kevin Willard has been busy this offseason. The official announcements have been trickling in, with the (likely) new starting point guard Elijah Crawford being made official today.
Kevin Willard said on Crawford: The addition of Elijah is another important step as we build our roster. He is a dynamic on-court leader with the vision to create shots for his teammates and the skill to score himself. Elijah is a great fit for our program, and weâre excited to have him join us.
Crawford joins Tyler Perkins, Matt Hodge, Adam Oumiddoch, Kwame Evans Jr., Jake Fiegen and Devin Royal as those who have officially joined the team for 2026-27. Willard made the following comments on each:
Perkins: Tyler does a lot of things that impact winning. He did a great job of adjusting to what was a new style of play for him this past season and weâre excited to have him return as one of our leaders.
Hodge: I think everyone saw how valuable Matt was to our team this past season when we lost him. We really missed him and canât wait to see him back on the floor fully recovered.
Oumiddoch: Adam is a versatile player who can impact the game in so many different ways. As one of the best pure scorers in this class, he has the ability to score at all three levels. Adam will have an impact on our program from Day 1 and weâre excited to have him join us at Villanova.
Evans Jr.: Kwameâs unique combination of athleticism, length, and skill will help us at both ends of the court. He brings to Villanova the kind of intelligence, character and experience that impacts winning in all sorts of ways. Weâre excited to welcome Kwame to the Nova Nation.

Fiegen: Weâre excited to welcome Jake to Villanova. Jake is a high-energy player who combines elite shooting skill with toughness at both ends of the court. His experience and tenacity will have a great impact on our team.
Royal: From the moment I watched tape in preparing to play against Devin earlier in his career, I just had great respect for the way he plays. Devin is a proven winner who brings skill and physicality with him every time he takes the court. We canât wait to start working with him at Villanova.
