With that hype, certain accolades and opportunities were always bound to head his way entering his senior season. On Wednesday, the Dunham School (Baton Rouge, LA) QB inked a deal that no other high school player had ever done before.
Haven is the first high school athlete to be signed by GEN/EA Sports.
“GEN/EA Sports is about the future, and that’s what I’m focused on," Haven said in a release on the website. "I’m working toward the next level in football, but I’m also building my voice and my creativity. To have EA Sports believe in that this early in my journey means everything.”
Haven joins NWSL star Alyssa Thompson, F1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante, Brazilian Ligue 1 forward Endrick, and former Heisman winner Travis Hunter.
According to the release, GEN/EA Sports' main objective is to connect the next generation of athletes with fans and communities as they progress through their careers.
Haven is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 1 quarterback and the top player out of Louisiana.
Last season, Haven led Dunham to a 13-1 record, compiling video game-like numbers throughout the season. He finished the year completing 72% of his passes for 3,931 yards and 62 touchdowns with only seven interceptions.
On the ground, he was also a threat, rushing for a team-high 794 yards and 11 touchdowns.
