Emma Raducanu has reunited with Andrew Richardson, the coach who was by her side during her incredible run to the 2021 US Open title.
Richardson had been serving as head coach at the Ferrer Tennis Academy in Spain before making the switch back to Raducanuās team.

āFerrer Tennis Academy La Nucia and Andrew Richardson would like to announce that, in the coming days, Andrew will be taking on a new role as Sports Advisor within the academy,ā they wrote.
āAfter four years as Head Coach, this change will allow him to find a better balance between his professional responsibilities and his personal and family life.
āWe would like to make clear that this change does not affect Andrewās relationship with the academy in any way.
āHe will continue to be an active part of the project, working alongside the ATF team and contributing the experience and knowledge that have been so important to the academyās growth over the last few years.
āAt ATF, we would like to thank Andrew for his dedication, professionalism, and hard work since day one.
āHis role has been fundamental in the development of the project and in many of the goals the academy has achieved during this time.
Richardson will remain involved with Ferrer Tennis Academy but will have more flexibility to focus on his work with Raducanu.

Raducanu is set to return to action next week at the Strasbourg Internationaux, marking her first tournament appearance since Indian Wells.
The British player has been away from competition for a while due to illness, so her main goal will likely be just to get through a match or two and start rebuilding her form.
Given how much time sheās missed, it makes sense for results not to be the immediate focus. Getting back to full fitness ahead of the grass-court season should be the priority.
That said, thereās no reason she canāt pick up some wins in Strasbourg. While clay hasnāt traditionally been her strongest surface, she does have 14 career victories on it.
Raducanu might also benefit from Richardsonās background in clay-court coaching. He spent years working at the Ferrer Tennis Academy in Spain, which means he knows what it takes on that surface and could help fine-tune her game for it.
The 2026 Strasbourg Internationaux is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 18th.
