If there's one thing the Ravens have to fix in 2026, it's finishing. On the C4 and Bryan Nehman Show,Eric DeCosta addressed the issue head-on.
"Yeah, I just think finishing. I mean, it's just not one thing. If it was one thing, we would have fixed it. So it really goes down to guys having a chance to make a play, whether that's a sack or an interception or a first down run. Not turning the ball over, penalties. It's really a mindset, and I think it starts day one, and I think Jesse's done a great job instilling that mindset with these guys. Um, and really becoming playmakers under pressure. That's kind of, I think, just an organizational thing that we've. that we've got to work on. I think also from a personnel standpoint, it's finding players that have shown a propensity for making plays in critical situations, big catches. First down. knocking the ball out, forcing interceptions, all those kind of things. And I think once we do that, we'll be in good shape."
It's about execution and identity. Now they have to prove it.
For Baltimore, the message is clear heading into 2026: talent alone isn't enough under this new regime post-John Harbaugh. As Eric DeCosta emphasized, closing out games comes down to execution, discipline, and a roster built with players who thrive in high-pressure moments. The foundation is there, but until the Ravens consistently turn opportunities into game-changing plays, “finishing” will remain the defining challenge they must overcome.
