The biggest question facing every WNBA team in training camp
WNBA training camps open with key questions for each team.
ESPN's Daniel Jeremiah predicts a dream draft scenario for the Cleveland Browns, selecting wide receiver Carnell Tate at pick six and tackle Monroe Freeling at pick 24. This outcome would excite Browns fans, though the likelihood of Freeling falling to 24 is low.
NFL Draft talk is reaching its fever pitch, and ESPN added another wrinkle to the fold on Monday.
In Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock draft, he predicted a dream scenario for the Cleveland Browns. At pick number six, he has Cleveland selecting the dynamic wide receiver from Ohio State, Carnell Tate. Then, all the way at pick number 24, Cleveland gets their hands on Georgia tackle Monroe Freeling.
If Cleveland pulls this off, in the words of Jeremiah and Kimes, Browns fans will be "thrilled."
If the draft plays out in this scenario, Browns fans shouldn't just be thrilled; they should throw a parade. The chances of Cleveland getting Freeling at 24 are very small. While I do think that Freeling is not only a great prospect, but one that is on Cleveland's radar, I do believe that if he falls into the early teens, general manager Andrew Berry will be dialing the phone to trade up.
Regardless of how they get both of those players, just getting them would be a win.
Starting with Tate at six, this is a move that both make sense for the roster and for the fanbase. It is rare that those two viewpoints align, but in this case, they would. The majority of all Browns fans have watched Tate's entire college career just down the highway in Columbus.
Tate was so good at Ohio State that he just was hidden behind a top 20 pick in Emeka Egbuka in 2024 and Jeremiah Smith in 2026. Tate has everything you could ever want in a wide receiver and draws legitimate comparisons to a player like CeeDee Lamb.
If the Browns take him at six, he walks into the building on April 24th as the number one wide receiver on this roster. In that scenario, everyone is happy.
Freeling, on the other hand, is likely not day one starter ready. Where Tate will already feel like a seasoned veteran, Freeling is going to have some growing pains. However, Cleveland does have the luxury of giving him a redshirt year before going all in next year.
This draft scenario is a dream one for the Browns. They get what they hope is their wide receiver one and left tackle one of the future on the first night of the draft. For the first time in a while, Browns fans will be able to be excited about the outlook of the offensive side of the football after they make some legitimate investments on that side of the ball.

Carnell Tate is a dynamic wide receiver from Ohio State, and he is considered a top pick for the Browns due to his impressive skills and potential impact on the team's offense.
The chances of Monroe Freeling, a Georgia tackle, being available at pick 24 are very small, as he is expected to be a sought-after prospect in the early rounds of the draft.
If Monroe Freeling is not available at pick 24, Browns general manager Andrew Berry may consider trading up to secure him if he falls into the early teens.
