Many NFL teams are looking to take the next step toward contention and to finally get over the hump. The Buffalo Bills are in that category. This offseason, there is more urgency than ever; they have already taken one big swing. Their next could include a USC Trojan receiver. Top draft analysts Jordan Reid, Matt Miller, Mel Kiper, and Field Yates all got together for a 3-round mock draft. Jordan Reid has the Buffalo Bills taking USC's Ja'Kobi Lane with pick 91 in the 3rd round. Here is what he had to say:
"Quarterback Josh Allen needs more playmakers, and Lane is a long-striding ball winner on the outside who has loads of potential as an explosive, down-the-field target."
The Bills' offense has been way too reliant on James Cook and MVP-caliber year in and year out, Josh Allen, to make the offense go. This offseason, the Bills are trying to have playmakers who ease that pressure. It started with D.J. Moore, who is one of the best in the league at making big plays. Ja'Kobi Lane is a fantastic opposite of Moore, and he can make some big plays of his own, too.
The Bills would put out the best offense they have yet in the Josh Allen era if Ja'Kobi Lane is selected by Buffalo. That is a scary sight for the AFC. Joe Brady has had no issue with getting his playmakers the ball, either from his time at LSU. It would be a great spot for Lane.
