Texas A&M's KC Concepcion was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft. Coach Mike Elko has targeted Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton as a key replacement for Concepcion in the Aggies' wide receiver lineup.
Last weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko saw a record ten players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, led by star wide receiver KC Concepcion, hearing his name called with the 24th overall pick by the Cleveland Browns, who are in desperate need of an elite playmaker with the versatility to play every receiver position.
While unanimous All-American Edge Cashius Howell could have been selected in the first round as well, Concepcion was always a lock, and after one season in College Station, his NFL dreams have come true, and he has joined former Texas A&M star and future Hall of Fame defensive end Myles Garrett.
This offseason, Elko and new offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins targeted Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton, whose 6'4" frame and vast experience at multiple receiver spots were too valuable to pass up on, while his relationship with starting quarterback Marcel Reed also played a part in choosing the Aggies over several blue-blood suitors.
Combined with star junior Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Terry Bussey, and, potentially, standout freshman Aaron Gregory, Texas A&M's 2026 wide receiver rotation looks like one of the best units in all of college football, but according to ESPN's Dave Wilson, Isaiah Horton looks like a nearly seamless replacement, while providing some advantages given his stature.
"Wide receiver has been one of the most improved positions during Mike Elko's tenure in College Station, and despite Concepcion's departure, it's still in good shape, particularly with the arrival of Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton. The 6-4, 208-pound outside receiver gives Marcel Reed, his former 7-on-7 teammate in , a big target and will take pressure off Mario Craver, a speedster who caught 59 passes for 917 yards and four touchdowns last year in his first season at A&M after transferring from Mississippi State."

Mario Craver is expected to lead the Aggies in receiving yards after his breakout campaign, but given his NFL-level speed and ability to separate against even the best cornerbacks, Wilson is right in stating that taking pressure off of the future first-round draft selection won't just help Marcel Reed but also open up every other wideout on the field.
