Mundo Deportivo have today written that, while Cucurella is happy in London, his long term aim is to return to his home city of Barcelona, as the player himself admitted in some controversial international break comments.
The Blues paid âŹ64m for Cucurella, but with so much of that now amortised, would apparently accept offers of closer to âŹ50m. Barcelona arenât likely to be able to pay that, however. This whole move could end up delayed a year as the defender comes closer to the end of his contract.
