Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham knows what is at stake vs. Bayern Munich in the Champions League and wants to make sure he does not have the same feeling he had last week after falling 2-1 to the Bavarians.
“(Wednesday) is a very difficult game. We’re behind. It’s important to be present and active. It’s a really important game for our situation. It’s almost like a final for us. We all know what tomorrow’s about. Every defeat in the Champions League feels like a disaster. It’s a final. We need to put everything into this game. It’s all or nothing. We need to be aggressive and do our all to win,” Bellingham said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Bayern have always played at a high level. I played here often with Dortmund and had bad experiences. The coach is loved by everyone. The chemistry among the players is great. The intensity they play with is amazing, and the way they’ve done that all season.”
Bellingham an England international, will be seeking to help his squad capitalize on that aforementioned chemistry. He was also asked about Harry Kane’s Ballon d’Or chances and his old pal Jamal Musiala.
“It always comes down to what the team does. Harry is an amazing player. Bayern will win the Bundesliga, which is a pity for my brother at Dortmund. We hope we can stop them in the Champions League tomorrow. But Harry has reached an amazing level as a striker. We hope we can stop him tomorrow,” said Bellingham. “I want to see (Musiala) play well; it hurt to see him not playing after his injury. I’m very happy to see him playing again.”
