The United Football League (UFL) began on Friday, March 27. The UFL is a spring football league that offers a shot for players to impress NFL teams or to simply continue their professional football careers.
Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Deandre Baker and linebacker Tae Crowder have had significant stints in the UFL, but have not found a long-term NFL home. Tight end Tre' McKitty is the other former Georgia player in the UFL.
McKitty has four receptions for 83 yards in three appearances with the Louisville Kings. Crowder has a team-high 26 tackles and an interception in three games with the Birmingham Stallions. Baker has two tackles and a pass deflection in two games with the DC Defenders.

Additional former Georgia players that were selected in the UFL draft include linebacker Monty Rice, safety Lewis Cine, edge Davin Bellamy, kicker Rodrigo Blankenship and defensive lineman Tramel Walthour. However, none of these players are in the UFL right now.
The UFL has eight teams and features a 10-week regular season. UFL games will be televised on ESPN, NFL Network Fox and ABC. The league championship will be played in June.
