Former NFL player Ted Ginn Jr. was arrested for DUI in Texas just before his third game as head coach of the UFL's Columbus Aviators. He has been released on a $1,000 bond, and offensive coordinator Todd Haley will take over coaching duties for the upcoming game.

Ted Ginn Jr., who spent seven NFL seasons with the Dolphins, 49ers, Panthers, Cardinals, Saints, and Bears as a wide receiver/specialist, was arrested in Tarrant County, Texas, for driving under the influence. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
Ginn, who just turned 41, was hired to be the head coach of the Columbus Aviators in 2025. The Aviators are scheduled to face the Dallas Renegades on Sunday.
“We are aware of an incident involving Head Coach Ted Ginn Jr. over the weekend and are in the process of gathering more information,” UFL president & CEO Russ Brandon told WSYX. “Offensive coordinator Todd Haley will handle the head coaching duties for the Aviators game on Sunday.”
Ginn Jr. was the ninth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft after starring at wide receiver at Ohio State.
Currently, the Columbus Aviators are 0-2. It is not known if the UFL will deal any punishment to Ginn Jr. at this time.
