Andoni Iraola has been established as the favourite as Chelsea look for a new manager. Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso are the names the fans seem to want. Eddie Howe and Marco Silva are the ugly ducklings at the moment.
But those arenât the only names Chelsea are looking at. Our writer Simon Phillips has reported on his Substack that both Oliver Glasner and Niko Kovac are in the frame.
Glasner has done a great job at Crystal Palace, but is leaving because heâs fallen out with those above him. Thatâs caused the doubts that Chelsea seem to have about him, according to Phillips:
âWith Glasner, our source says that at this moment, Chelsea are unsure whether he would work âcollaborativelyâ with them â hence why he is much lower down the list.â
If he couldnât handle Palace, we can only imagine how heâd get on at Chelsea, where he would have far less say in all areas of the club.
Sources believe that Oliver Glasner may not align well with Chelsea's current sporting structure.
