Carra: Chelsea look like a broken club
Chelsea's sixth straight league loss raises concerns, says Carragher.
Analysts are excited about rookie Jeremiyah Love for the 2026 NFL season, highlighting his potential as a top fantasy football pick. Love's strong draft capital and skill set position him as a likely three-down workhorse for the Arizona Cardinals.

We’ve got a long way to go until the 2026 NFL season and fantasy football. But now that the 2026 NFL Draft is complete, there’s plenty to discuss pertaining to the incoming rookie class. Yahoo analysts Justin Boone, Joel Smyth, Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski join the roundtable to share the rookie they’re most excited for in fantasy for 2026.
Jeremiyah Love. While I’m taking the low-hanging fruit here, it’s important that fantasy managers know how well early first-round backs have performed during their rookie seasons. History has been extremely kind to backs who earned top-12 draft capital, with all eight ball carriers chosen in that range over the last 13 years finishing as RB14 or better during their debut campaigns, including Ashton Jeanty (RB14), Bijan Robinson (RB12), Jahmyr Gibbs (RB9), Saquon Barkley (RB3), Leonard Fournette (RB8), Christian McCaffrey (RB11), Ezekiel Elliott (RB2) and Todd Gurley (RB6). Robinson even accomplished that feat while sharing a backfield with Tyler Allgeier, who is Love’s teammate now in Arizona.
When an organization invests this heavily in a player, you know they’re going to give them plenty of volume and Love has the size, talent, athleticism and receiving skills to be a three-down workhorse in the NFL. The Cardinals offense is also loaded with pass-catching weapons, which will force defenses to stay honest. It’s hard not to get excited about Love’s potential, making him a strong second-round selection in redraft and the clear 1.01 in dynasty rookie drafts. — Justin Boone
Jordyn Tyson. The pairing in New Orleans can be perfect for fantasy. At first glance, Tyler Shough with Chris Olave already there doesn’t seem ideal, but with Kellen Moore calling plays, it opens things up. The Saints play faster than any team in the NFL and ranked ninth in WR targets last season despite having no threat outside of Olave. There is ample volume to go around in a motion offense that suits Tyson’s skill set well.
Although he was a top-10 draft pick, his early average draft position is at WR34, much lower than past seasons. For example, Tetairoa McMillan was drafted as the WR25 last season and Malik Nabers as the WR24 the year prior. If Tyson can stay healthy through the offseason and prove to be an immediate threat in the passing game, his upside in comparison to the receivers in his draft range is on the high end of the spectrum. —
Jeremiyah Love is a rookie running back for the Arizona Cardinals, noted for his impressive draft capital and potential to be a three-down workhorse in the NFL.
Success factors include draft capital, team investment, volume of carries, and the overall strength of the team's offense.
Historically, all eight first-round running backs selected in the last 13 years finished as RB14 or better during their debut campaigns.
Jeremiyah Love is considered the clear 1.01 pick in dynasty rookie drafts due to his potential and the investment made by the Cardinals.

Carnell Tate. Tate going to the Titans was a surprise pick, as not many folks had connected the Ohio State wideout with the fourth overall pick. While Tate doesn’t fit the mold of your typical top-five, blue-chip receiver prospect, in this lighter draft as the cleanest wide receiver evaluation with a desirable perimeter skill set, he was worth taking the plunge for a team in desperate need of help outside. According to Fantasy Points Data, Titans receivers lined up out wide in 2025 ranked 32nd in yards per reception, 30th in catch rate on catchable targets (70.5%) and checked in with the 12th-lowest contested catch rate (50%) and seventh-highest drop rate (7.1%).
Tate is a premier man-coverage-beater who won on big boy routes at Ohio State and caught just about everything thrown his way, even in contested situations. Volume-wise, Tate has an easy path to flirt with top-24-to-30 wide receiver status in fantasy. If QB Cam Ward takes a big step in Year 2 with a new offensive coaching staff, there’s room for much more. — Matt Harmon
Jadarian Price. Because I did not answer Love, Tate or Tyson, you can probably guess who had the last pick in this exercise. But Jadarian Price has a clear path to Year 1 relevance. Maybe it was a surprise to see him get taken in the first round, but that illustrates how much the Seahawks need him — Kenneth Walker III is gone and Zach Charbonnet is coming off an ACL tear in the playoffs.
If Charbonnet isn't 100% for opening day, Price would likely need to beat out just Emanuel Wilson for the starting RB gig. Price proved at Notre Dame that he can thrive in a zone blocking scheme, which is what the Seahawks run. Price is going to hit plenty of home runs in the Pacific Northwest, and unlike the other rookies we're talking about today, he has the advantage of stepping into a team that's already built to win. — Scott Pianowski
