Devils hire Panthers executive Mehta as GM
New Jersey Devils appoint Sunny Mehta as their new general manager.
The Jacksonville Jaguars' offense is a focal point for fantasy football in 2026, with rookie WR/CB Travis Hunter expected to play a reduced role in the crowded wide receiver room. The team added Jakobi Meyers, joining Brian Thomas Jr. and Parker Washington, impacting their draft positions significantly.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the more polarizing offenses in the NFL when it comes to fantasy football going into 2026. Last season under new head coach Liam Coen, the Jaguars surprised everyone to finish sixth in points per game at 27.9. Jacksonville finished just outside the top 10 in yards per game with 337.4.
That created plenty of viable fantasy football options, particularly in the passing game. One of the big names expected to contribute there was rookie WR/CB Travis Hunter, who started 2025 slowly and eventually was ruled out for the season after appearing in just seven games. The Jags would then add Jakobi Meyers via trade to add to a group including Brian Thomas Jr. and Parker Washington.
With Hunter expected to take more snaps on defense in 2026, Matt Harmon and Justin Boone discussed what to make of the crowded Jacksonville WR room and where the value lies on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast.
Boone rattles off where each of the four WRs is going early on in drafts based on ADP:
BTJ and Washington are going high in the sixth round based on ADP while Meyers is in the eighth and Hunter checks in just outside the top-150 overall. With reports saying Hunter will be a full-time cornerback and part-time receiver, thereās plenty to talk about when it comes to his fantasy value.
Boone doesnāt like the idea of not having a piece of this offense, as heās really only looking to get a bit of Meyers and maybe some Hunter based on where they are being drafted. The analyst wants to get to Washington but believes his ADP is pretty high for a player who really only produced down the stretch in 2025.
It took BTJ struggles and Hunter going down with injury to really unlock Washington, who led the Jaguars with 58 catches for 847 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games. But Boone doesnāt feel heās worth a sixth-round pick at the moment.
Thereās also the chance Thomas is moved as we approach the 2026 NFL Draft. If that isnāt the case, there will be a lot of mouths to feed in the Jacksonville passing game, which could drive down the value of each receiver. Think similar to how the Packers offense operates, spreading the ball around.
Boone believes itāll be a frustrating situation if things donāt change and heās having a tough time getting in on any of these pieces early on in draft season.
In Booneās latest rankings update for April, he has Meyers as his WR40, BTJ at WR42, Washington at WR48 and Hunter at WR54, lower than the public on all four wideouts.
Travis Hunter is expected to take more snaps on defense in 2026, which may limit his contributions as a wide receiver.
As of early drafts, Brian Thomas Jr. is ranked WR31, Parker Washington WR35, Jakobi Meyers WR41, and Travis Hunter WR46.
The addition of Jakobi Meyers has intensified competition in the Jaguars' wide receiver room, affecting the draft value of existing players like Hunter, Thomas, and Washington.
