Fast-rising 2027 Kenowa Hills (Mich.) High running back Lundon Hampton told Maize n Brew on Saturday that his official visit to Michigan has been set for June 5-7.

The facilities, campus, coaches and culture all stood out to Hampton on the trip. The interactions between the staff and players also caught his eye. Same goes for how Jordan Marshall, Savion Hiter and the rest of the running backs carry themselves on and off the field.
Hampton is fond of run game coordinator and running backs coach Tony Alfordâs approach to treating his players. Alford has told Hampton he likes the in-staterâs explosiveness and ability to make defenders miss in the open field.
The official visit will Hampton further opportunities to speak with head coach Kyle Whittingham. Hampton said likes Whittinghamâs coaching style.
Hampton is deemed an athlete by the major recruiting services, but Michigan is eyeing him to play running back. He could end up at linebacker or safety at the next level as well.
Other teams pushing for Hampton that are in top contention alongside the Wolverines are Michigan State, Penn State and Kansas. Kentucky, Louisville and Cal recently entered the mix as well, which has Hampton interested. He has an official visit to MSU scheduled for June 19-21.
Rivals lists Hampton as the No. 48 overall athlete in the country and No. 16 player in Michigan.
