It’s been the big story over the past few days. A petition to kick Mbappé out of Real Madrid has been setting the internet on fire for several days now.

It seems to be resonating beyond just Madrid supporters, given that since it was published, 30 million people have reportedly signed it.

This petition, which comes amid a particularly difficult end to the season for a Real Madrid side that seems to have performed better without the French striker in recent matches, should obviously be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Le Parisien also reported that the petition was most likely "fake." The outlet explains that the site requires no verification when voting and also relied on testimony from SaxX, a cybersecurity hacker.

"I was able to vote 100 times in less than a second" [...} "My grandmother could do it. You just have to ask a basic off-the-shelf AI how to get around it," he explained. "Everyone got fooled, everyone fell for it."

Funny from an image standpoint, this petition is therefore obviously not to be taken seriously.
