With the No. 57 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected Iowa center Logan Jones.
After the sudden retirement of Drew Dalman this offseason, the Bears had a last-second opening at center right before free agency. They traded for Garrett Bradbury, but given he’s on the last year on his current deal, the expectation was that he would be a one-year rental to keep the offensive line afloat.
Jones factors into the mix as an experienced offensive lineman who’s battle-tested at the Big Ten level. He’s a true center who should be able to push Bradbury for a starting spot, and given the fact that the Bears selected him in the second round, the organization likely thinks so, as well.
As I’ve done since 2019, I put together a thread involving my analysis of each Bears draft selection, sharing some clips that highlight their strengths along the way. This year is certainly no different, so here’s my quick-hit evaluation of the Bears selecting Jones in Round 2.
THE NUMBERS
THREAD: New #Bears C Logan Jones is a seamless scheme fit and should develop into a quality starter on their offensive line.

Logan Jones has a nasty demeanor that really stands out at the point of attack.
He packs a punch and churns his lower body incredibly well to drive defenders off the line of scrimmage. #Bears

Logan Jones obviously tested well, but that athleticism shows on tape. He’s explosive climbing to the second level.
Agility in space is solid, and he’s an intelligent run blocker, too. Clears out his zone with great understanding of his assignment. #Bearspic.twitter.com/IfBlh26LUI

If you want pancake ability, Logan Jones will bring it. He has ideal effort and physicality at the point of attack.
His hand usage and pad level got better each year he was at Iowa. Still improving his flexibility, but he’s a mean SOB. #Bearspic.twitter.com/XU1p5hxU2I

Here’s Logan Jones’ Relative Athletic Score. On the smaller side with shorter arms, but he’s an elite athlete.
Intelligent center with high-end physical tools. I can see him pushing Garrett Bradbury to start at center right away and eventually replace him. #Bearspic.twitter.com/bF8blq7D7i
